What chiropractors actually do
Whilst the general public typically associate chiropractic care with helping patients with back pain, neck pain, headaches and sporting injuries, it is important to realise that we don’t offer a cure for such conditions or even directly treat these conditions.
As Chiropractors, we are simply looking for distortions in the spine and musculo-skeletal system and adjusting them. We feel that these distortions - or in chiropractic terms, subluxations - may cause interference to the normal expression of the nervous system. By adjusting the subluxations, we may be reducing nerve interference and allowing the body to regulate itself more normally.
